- Sign up when you're eligible. The main sign-up is open enrollment every December: choose your amount then, and it starts January 1. New hires can enroll within 30 days of becoming eligible, starting the first of the following month. Had a big life change — marriage, a new baby, a spouse's job or coverage change? Is an FSA worth it? · FSA值得参加吗？
Usually, yes — if you have predictable health or care costs. Because the money goes in before tax, every $100 you run through the FSA saves you roughly $20–$30 in taxes. A lot: doctor and dentist visits, prescriptions, glasses and contacts, lab work, and much more — plus child care and elder care under Dependent Care. Pay the provider, keep the itemized receipt, then submit a claim here with a photo or scan of the receipt. You'll get a confirmation number. For the Health FSA, up to $680 rolls into next year; anything above that is forfeited when the claim deadline passes (March 31, 2028 for the 2027 plan year). Dependent Care money does not carry over.
